Michigan basketball is in good hands with Juwan Howard as he has become one of the most feared coaches on the recruiting trail. Here’s a look at six prospects with Wolverine interest.

Where do the top high school athletes in the country go to school? Kentucky, Duke, UNC, and Kansas are some of the typical responses to that question. Michigan basketball, despite the incredible successes over the last decade, isn’t in the same tier as the ‘blue bloods’ of college basketball.

The Wolverines can occasionally snag a top-30 prospect, but it’s not common, and typically, Michigan basketball didn’t even make the trimmed list of finalists for the best young athletes.

It’s thought those days are in the past since Juwan Howard burst onto the scene as a polarizing figure, obtaining the attention of the previously unattainable HS hoop stars.

There are a few from the 2021 class who could be considered in the unattainable category, and yet Howard is making progress with them. But it’s not just about the top 30, Juwan has an assortment of characters on his recruiting board ranging from five-stars to rising no-stars.

Here’s a list of six prospects that are warming up to the Wolverines:

Will Tschetter

I’m not going to take a deep dive into Will Tschetter, the 6-foot-8 rising star from Stewartville, MN since I covered him .

The important thing to know about Will is that he’s highly intelligent and has a really accurate shot. And he’s gone completely under the radar. As a once primarily mid-major prospect, Tschetter is quickly rising the ranks and will soon have the coach K’s of the world knocking down his door.
